Waitlist

Recruitment is over for the 2025 season. Please sign up for 2026!

Gardeners are recruited from the waitlist when garden beds become available. We are an inclusive space and strive for a diverse membership. Selection criteria include:

• Proximity to the garden.
• Skills and motivation to help the garden operation, including (but not limited to) general carpentry, container-gardening knowledge, photography, social media, graphic design, WordPress, and blogging.
• Ability to participate for a full season.

A few beds usually become available every year. You may be on the waitlist for more than one community garden, so we encourage you to learn about other gardens in the blog post “Opportunities to Garden in Madison” and by using the map of community gardens from The Gardens Network:

Waitlist Form

Please complete the Waitlist Form to automatically add your name to the waitlist in the correct order.  About once a month, we try to send acknowledgements of requests that have arrived, and we try to contact everyone on the waitlist with an update at least once a year, usually in the spring.  If you are asked to confirm that you would like to stay on the waitlist, be sure to respond or you will be dropped from the list.
